The Astro team has released Astro 3.0 as a general availability. There are numerous changes and enhancements in the framework.

Astro 3.0 is the first major web framework to support the View Transitions API. Fade, slide, morph, and even persist stateful elements across page navigation with ease.

Other release highlights include:

  • Image Optimization (stable): Unflagged and better than ever.
  • Faster Rendering Performance: Astro components render 30-75% faster.
  • SSR Enhancements for Serverless: New ways to connect to your hosting platform.
  • HMR Enhancements for JSX: Fast Refresh support for React and Preact.
  • Optimized Build Output: Cleaner and more performant HTML.

🔥 Version 1.5.0 of Compose Multiplatform

JetBrains has released the Comonse Multiplatform 1.5.0, a declarative UI framework for Kotlin. It introduces numerous changes and improvements along with stable desktop versions.

Some highlights from this release are:

  1. The Dialog, Popup, and WindowInsets APIs are now in common code.
  2. On iOS scrolling, resource management and text fields have been improved.
  3. The UI testing framework has been stabilized on the desktop.

This release is based on Jetpack Compose 1.5, which focuses on performance improvements. It also builds on the 1.1 release of Material Design 3. This includes new components such as date pickers and time pickers.

Maybe panic a little, ChatGPT enterprise is here. ChatGPT can now officially be your co-worker, so stay on your toes.

OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT (of course you know), has announced the Enterprise version of the product. This product does not store or process the data provided to it for its training model, complying with a lot of privacy rules and regulations.

I couldn’t see any pricing as we need to contact sales first. It is said that it is $30 per user.

The Spring Framework team has launched an experimental project called Spring AI. Yes, it is what it sounds like. The project aims to streamline the AI-related project in Java and more specifically in the Spring ecosystem. Currently, the project integrates with OpenAI and Microsft Azure OpenAI as the backend.
