SurrealDB is a new Cloud Native database. The team has released its version 1.0.0 on GitHub yesterday. They will officially announce them in their official event.

SurrealDb is a NoSQL database at the core but can be used as a traditional database as well. A few notable features of SurrealDB among many others are:

๐Ÿ˜ก Unity Game Devs Furious after “Unity Runtime Fee”

The game development using Unity as a game engine will be costlier after the latest announcements from the company behind the Unity Game Engine.

Starting in January 2024, the company will charge what it’s calling a “Unity Runtime Fee”. This “Fee” will be based on the number of users installing games based on the stated engine. The company provided a list of various fees based on different counts.

However, the company also announced that they will add cloud-based asset storage, Unity DevOps tools, and AI at runtime at no extra cost to Unity subscription plans this Novembe r.
